As a CQE Performance Test Engineer you’ll be working on multiple projects across varied industry sectors employing a variety of technologies and tool sets. What you’ll be good at.

The ideal candidate will have a deep, working, understanding of Performance Engineering across a multitude of technologies, applications, and industry sectors with the ability to adapt to complex and faced paced delivery. The candidate will have strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.

With the confidence, expertise, strong technical background and proven skill set your aim is to help improve quality and deliver value in whatever form that takes. To do this you need to be adaptable above all, passionate about testing and able to effectively communicate with stakeholders both technical and business. You will need to have a strong understanding of all aspects of testing, the ability to influence and improve quality at all levels of the stack and will have expertise in some of these core areas:

• Working in a fast paced and challenging environment

• Defining performance engineering solutions and developing workload models, performance test scripts and scenarios for a wide range of technologies

• Maintaining a repository for performance engineering delivery assets to support and encourage asset re-use

• Executing performance tests along with interaction with client project teams, performing test data management and collaborating with developers

• Performing in-depth analysis, evaluate performance and identify performance issues/ hotspots and opportunities for optimisation. This includes analysis CPU utilisation, memory usage, network usage and other performance indicators

• Identifying the performance testing requirements and documenting performance test scenarios based on the SLAs and benchmarks

• Integrating load and performance testing into CI/CD pipelines

• Recommending performance enhancing changes to resolve issues and improve performance

• Performance engineering in microservice and cloud architectures
